Timoticin Kwanda is an associate professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning, Department of Architecture, Petra Christian University, Surabaya.

He holds a Ph.D. degree in Architecture from National University of Singapore (2013), and a Master degree in Urban and Regional Planning (MRP, 1988) and a Bachelor degree in urban and regional studies (B.Sc., 1986), both from Cornell University, USA. His PhD builds on conservation of architecture, focus on conservation of traditional architecture and their tradition related to conservation. His current teaching, research and publications focus on real estate development and planning, such as residential planning, urban design and planning; and architectural heritage conservation.
